I had a lull in business during late summer and I used the down time to work on the five, yes, FIVE, Elmo St-1200 projectors I acquired over the past 30 years or so. None were in good operating condition, not even my primary workhorse I picked up in 1980 in a huge deal which reactivated my collecting interests. I downloaded and printed the repair manual. I set up a huge workbench (sawhorses and an old door) on my new weather enclosed porch. I assessed the parts I needed (mostly belts, bulbs and fuses) and ordered them. I made sure I had music playing on the cd. Stones and Elmos DO go together. The end result? THREE machines running in tip-top shape, thanks to a bit of borrowing from the other two. The fourth machine is workable, but I need to understand what makes the amp fuse blow instantly. Until I do, it is a dedicated "silent" projector". The fifth projector, has become dedicated PARTS MACHINE and that is good news for you owners in need of parts. Gang, if any of need an ST-1200 part, PLEASE contact me. I will gather what I can and send it to you, gratis. (Postage appreciated but not required.) Let's keep these machines running
