Please post you recent film showing here. Screen shots are welcome. Mine was A Shot In The Dark with Peter Sellers. It is the first Inspector Clouseau film. A Flat Print in gorgeous LPP color. The lineup before the feature was a scope reel containing a trailer of A Shot in The Dark, a travelogue titled The Seychelles Islands, and a Tom & Jerrye cartoon titled Blue Cat Blues, all in glorious LPP.

I watched a Christmas episode of ADAM-12 in 16mm before listing on eBay. Hard to believe that show aired a whole 40 years ago. |

Last night I watched "Flash Gordon Conquers The Universe". Love those sparks comimg out of the space ship. Funny thing is, no matter where Flash went he always landed in the same spot! Ming The Mercyless is the best villan of that era. I got a nice Niles print on 4x400' reels of a re-edit of all 12 chapers. Very well done. The story moves along nicely. PatD |

Last Saturday night I showed a super 8 feature of "He Walks By Night" from 1948. Richard Basehardt played a serial kiiler in L.A. I also showed a variety of films I bought recently from Ian O'Riely. One was a Pathe travelogue of 1960s Florida, then a Pathe 1960s Greece and a Tom & Jerry cartoon in LPP(late 1940s). He Walks By Night I received from our own Chris Smith. A cool Thunderbird print. |

I watched my all-time favorite film, RED RIVER, in 16mm. My daughter is having lunch with Mickey Kuhn in a couple weeks, hoping to get him to attend a GONE WITH THE WIND function she is presenting in Kansas in November, so I thought I'd take a few screen snaps of him in RR and hopefully she'll get them autographed for me. |

i screened"Frankenstien"(1931) and "The Laurel&Hardy Murder Case"(1930) in a school hall to an audience of fifteen. Both films were on 16mm and the audience wre impressed with it being "real" filmm as opposed to dvd projection |

Hi, Chris! Welcome to the forum. The 1931 Frankenstein must have been a real treat. Was the audience a mix of all ages? I once showed my super 8 print of 1931 King Kong to a young audience and they were glued to the screen. The L&H Murder Case is fun short too. I have it on super 8. |

Watched, for the 6th time, a recent addition to my collection: SWING, SISTER, SWING an approx. 10 minute Official Films 1940s 16mm release of three "soundies". I'm a sucker for this stuff and this eBay gem is now my favorite film in my collection. It features "The Barkley Sisters", "The Terry Twins" and the real stars of this little reel "Gloria Parker and Her Orchestra" letting loose with a surreal rendition of Four Letters. All I will say is, Gloria is one RED HOT orchestra leader.

Chris, great stuff! Nice shots. Thanks for the info. We have two or three soundies by Gloria Parker. One is called Down at the Corner of Broadway and Main, which features Stepin Fetchit. Another is called, Here Comes the Fattest Man in Town. These gal band leaders of that period are really cool! I could do a whole night of nothing but soundies. Which reminds me, I now have a Magnetic 16MM Projector and will be showing some of my prized I.B. Tech Scopitones. I will try to get some pics up soon. Keep 'em coming, folks! |

I lost my notes for settings on the digicamera for taking screen shots. SOOO, what settings do you (as in anyone) use to get clear pictures when showing a film? |
