Dan, I think it's great you've made the effort to create another online forum for us cinephiles, I just hope it isn't cursed with forum members posting the exact same posts that are splashed across the other two great forums. I just can't get my head round the fact that some members duplicate their posts on different forums - cut and paste has a lot to answer for! Why do that? It makes no sense to me.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to spending even more time online, browsing between the three forums now, fingers crossed I don't start seeing topics and subjects in triplicate!

Good luck with it Dan.

Unfortunately, because of the nature of the hobby it's bound to happen. Relatively speaking, we're a small group.

It's called advertising. How many times do you see the same commercial on different TV channels? You may just reach that one person that wants what you have and doesn't know about the other forums. If you don't post it you might lose the chance to sell it. Also, there are those who don't visit certain forums for whatever reasons.

I know what you're saying guys, I'd just assumed that because we're such a small community most of us are on the same forums anyway. Hadn't even considered that some members avoid some sites nowadays. But it still doesn't stop me getting irked off by duplicate postings, so I'll go to the corner of the room and mutter quietly to myself!

IMHO when it comes to selling film or equipment, posting on more than one forum should be expected, copy paste and all.

Film collecting is a small group with a handful of good forums to use. Not all users use all the forums...
For general topics, IMHO a good rule of thumb is if you want to spread the word on something you got, did, saw, review, questions, etc. take the time to type it in the little box and change it up a bit.
