Thanks to Oemer I have checked into the addition of a language translator option for reading and posting. I'm still waiting for advice from the support, but I have found out is is possible. This would enable non-English speaking members to communicate with other members and visa versa. :)

Well, I'm half way through the translator installation. You will find a selection box at the top right of the index page with six languages. At the moment it will only translate the basic text that came with the phpbb3 software. I am now waiting for a post translation modification to be sent to me in order to translate the posts too. 8-)

Hi Dan,
The Google translater works bad and that is not new, you can´t motivate no english speaking collectors with a translater.
I thought you can open a part of this board in a other language and maybe the other collectors can use the translater to understand the communication between collectors in other language.
I noticed that on the other forums are more than one user from Germany, Italy and greece so if they want they can write in a separate part of the forum in theirs language.

In the time I wrote the text above, I can write much more in german or turkish. Often I want to write something on the forums, but I don´t do that because it is stressful to write slowly and with the use of a dictionary. My grammar is not very well, but many other collectors from around the world speak english less than me.
Best regards
Oemer

Oemer, you seem to be contradicting yourself. If the translator works bad for you in English, then I do not understand how adding another forum in a different language would make it work any better.
It is still the same translator. [set5_b/set5_b/banghead.gif] [set5_b/set5_b/beatdeadhorse5.gif]

I cannot open a part of this board in another language or languages. With the translator I have installed, it open to many languages as is.

If you know of a better translator program to use other than Google, please let me know.
