Been spending a lot of my time putting together a new group of musicians for work. So, what happens? I over practice and now have tendonitis in my right hand. I'm not good at doing nothing and now have to sit around the house for two to three weeks. Be glad you do not play the guitar. It is an addiction for those who have played and been paid.

Well, I am half way through my recovery period and starting to get restless. This sucks. [set5_b/set5_b/nopity.gif]

Well, after 5 months, it wasn't Tendonitis. It was a side effect of a statin prescription drug. After discontinuing the drug, I have been taking nsaids and some supplements to repair the damage. Now I can use my hands again. The only problem is, when the record companies hear my music, will I be able to handle all the fame?  After hearing the great artist CX, I think I may call myself ABC or STP or BVD. Hey Dan,

Why not call yourself UPS? Na,better not. If you broke as many things as they do you'd have to play the harmonica from a body cast. Just a thought.

On a more serious note. In August I will turn 63 years old and have issues with my hands where it is very difficult to still hold a guitar pick any longer on it's own. I purchase thumb picks and standard picks and combine them to create something to help me keep a grip. Somehow I have managed to still be able to hang in there with guys half my age. Age plays dirty tricks on a person. I can't do all the things on bass that I once could or can I do them as easily but still manage to get a compliment now and then. Retirement day comes for all of us, it's not always easy but it comes. The only time retirement is a sad thing is if one retires too early, speaking from a musicians point of view. So remember " Party On Dudes".

Roger, UPS it is! [set5_b/set5_b/hurray.gif] Tonight and tonight only, see what brown can do for you. [set5_b/set5_b/party.gif]

What is this thing you call growing old? I'm only 15. My mom picks me up at school in her Subaru. [set5_b/set5_b/smilielol5.gif]

Dan,

I still think that way but my body seems to have a bit of a struggle keeping up.

I'm still endeavoring. Looks like to combination will be a percussionist, bassist, and guitar/singer. Must have name for group though. How about The Three Amigos. [set5_b/set5_b/smilielol5.gif] [set5_b/set5_b/leaving.gif]
