Post subject:  Films for sale

Hi everyone, I am listing movies that where previously on Ebay. I am not a collector so the little bit of information that I have listed was provided by someone that is. We didnt have a projector to view, however, I hear he has rig his projector to accept 1200ft reels, well at least 600 foot of them :), Please review and make offer, comments, or even school me a little on the films below. I would rather they go to seriously collectors than someone thinking they were only worth 25 dollars for the whole lot. Thank you in advance for your help.

First, all films are on Elmo Reels.

There is no smell of vinegar, I guess that is a tell tale sign of quality issues.

Hoppity Goes to Town has one 1200ft reel, and one 400ft as stated minor warpage

Bells of Rosarita has one 1200ft reel no warpage great leader orginal no splices b.w. print

High Noon has two 800ft reels the first leader is a tad short start count down at 8 no splices, the second is orginal also and starts at eleven.

Roustabout has two 1200ft reels no warpage, reel #2 has leader then straight to movie

Gi Blues has two 1200ft reels Orginal leaders first part of #2 has small nick in the black section of the leader

Blue Hawaii has One 1200ft and one 800ft #1 reel has orginal leader #2 has short black leader and goes to movie with a splice

Last Train to Gun Hill Has one 1200ft and one 800ft both have great leaders no splices

The Music Box has one 800ft and a great leader with credits b.w.print

Till the Clouds Come In two 1200ft and one 400ft reels, #1 & 2 have a minor warp in leader

Out of the lot Hoppity is the lowest quality at a good fair, once i locate a projector I will update with titles and end leaders and quality [set5_b/set5_b/hat.gif] [set5_b/set5_b/hat.gif] .

Well I am having a very hard time trying to reasonably price all these films. I would like to start at 200 per film and if you would like to make an offer, I will consider. As request come in I will add more images and such.

Thank you everyone for your help.

Hi and welcome! I have some ideas regarding your prices. Please understand that I am only making suggestions based on my buying experience over the last couple of years. Good luck in realising the best prices possible. Here goes.

You really need to comment on the quality of the prints - scratches? splices? film stock? age? original reels an boxes etc.

Examples - "The Bells of Rosarita" - Roy Rogers I assume - Walton, Red Fox? or whoever - probably $60 to $100 tops

All the Elvis features - great colour and unedited could mean $200 plus.

Laurel and Hardy - again - complete? Blackhawk, Walton or other? - In any case probably no more than$50 -80.

Hope this helps.

Yes it does help, thank you. I would like to achieve the best price possible of course so thank you for your guidance. As I stated I will consider any reasonable offers.

As you can see from the few pics, these movies are in very good shape. Could use a good cleaning and such. Besides that I would really like that these go to someone who will truly appreciate them.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike, I sent you an e-mail. I'm interested in ROUSTABOUT, but only if it has excellent A+ color. Since you don't know too much about the condition of the films you're selling, do you offer a return policy? Thanks
