I have done more research on the MGW and found that it is a Eumig S932 SuperSound sporting the Montgomery Ward name. Both machines share not only identical specs and looks but manufactued dates also. I'm not quite sure where the S932 places in the pecking order of Eumig projectors. I have a S912 and it appears to have a few more bells and whistles.

I don't think it's a Eumig. It looks Identical to a Sankyo projector. Mostly like a stripped down Sankyo sound 6000. Doesn't look like a Eumig at all.

Certainly Eumig, it has the variable speed control system used by Eumig.
I have a Eumig S932 super sound in its original red/white box which is proudly marked "Made in Austria".

MADE IN AUSTRIA is on the back of this machine and the database says it was made by EUMIG. No SANKYO here!

Hey Maurice,

How does the S932 work for you? I only view prints with my machines and don't really need all of those high dollar gadgets. I have yet to receive the 838 and since it and the 932 is basically the same unit I was wondering how well your machine funtions. I have $92.00 invested in this unit and I expect that I will get more than my moneys worth out of this Eumig in disguise.

I like it. It's a quiet machine with good sound and runs very well. However, I only use it for playback and never use any of its recording functions.

Maurice,

Would you do me a favor and post a photo of the inside of your unit so that I can get a good look at the sound board? There is something that I am interested in seeing. I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Wow, just giving my opinion. I work with an older Eumig unit. Solid steel and built with care. The unit you showed looked just like a Sankyo 80's unit. Plastic and cheap. As long as it was still made in Austria makes it a Eumig. Don't know of any other machines that came out of that country other than some earlier models.

Camera battery needed charging.
In the meantime, can you please tell me if my pic will need to be reduced in size to appear correctly on this Forum?
If so, what sort of size in needed as there do not seem to be any tips on what is required.
