Hello. I recently acquired Kodak CT1000 (rebranded Elmo 16-CL). It's been in a garage for a very long time. I evicted the spiders, vacuumed and blew out both sides. I cleaned and greased it.
I replaced the melted rubber rollers with new ones from a vendor on eBay. I replaced the bulb and replaced the fuses.
I cleaned off the sound drum, head and lens.
The exciter lamp lights. The amp makes noise, but no sound.
But!
I can hear the sound (in reverse) when I play backwards. Then, when switched to forward, the sound can be heard for a few seconds until the projector runs smoothly. Then just a hum.
I also tried an external speaker. No difference.
Any suggestions?

Greetings
Sounds like (no punt interned)
The large Flange roller maybe out of adjustment
and not moving the film by the sound light Drum
Try by using your finger to push the film lightly
before the large roller back and forth (in and out )
( what type of rollers did you get from Flea bay
Rubber or plastic ? Also on the flange roller they made 2 different ones
Spring loaded and non spring loaded
Hope this helps

They're plastic rollers and I purchased them here.

Greetings
Have you Tried moving the film yet ?
Have you looked at the flange roller Old and new for spring type?
I prefer the rubber ones a little more costly but wont scratch the film
Did the sound work before you replaced the rollers

Also, I never tried the projector before I replaced the original rollers. They had turned to goo.
Thanks for being patient. I'm in a very slow internet area.
