This should be fun: Dan's post of a few days ago on "odd reels" generated some nice responses so we decided to create this permanent 16mm area of the forum for you to list any of those odd reels taking up shelf space, as well as your alerting other collectors to ones you are searching for....For Sale or Wanted...let's get some success stories out of this

ODD REELS FOR SALE: Great short selections otherwise, these could bee seen as digests since they have some titles or credits. Low priced but high quality!

Long Days Journey Into Night - Reels two, three and four of the 1962 Sidney Lumet feature with cinematography by Boris Kaufman and music of Andre Previn. Stars Kathrine Hepburn and Jason Robards this has very good contrast and very good music. $22 SOLD

When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth - 1600' Reel one of the Hammer films feature has good color and sound -- amazing music. Minor wear and smooth running about 1000' of film in a nice Goldberg can. It doesn't have any stop-motion but, if you've seen the movie, the beginning is still amazing!

Indiscreet - 1600' Reel three of the Stanley Donan feature has Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman with excellent color, very good sound and some music. This is the last reel of the film and it has minor/minimal wear has End tile card. $12 SOLD

The Ruling Class - 1200' Reel three of the feature has very good color, good sound and end credits. It's on a very nice magnesium Goldberg reel, the print is in good condition.

Nanook of the North - 1200' Reel two concludes the film, this one works like a digest as well and starts with titles. Very good contrast and good sound, still a remarkable film with end titles. $12 SOLD

Nights of Cabiria - 1600' Reel three of the feature has excellent contrast, very good sound and subtitled in English. This is a real gem, and works really well on it's own. Has film title on the end card with director reprise. $12 SOLD

Road to Zanzibar - 1600' Reel two of the feature staring Bob Hope, Bing Crosby and Dorothy Lamour. This is a great reel because it features three of the songs in the movie and IMHO -- the best three: 'Road to Zanzibar/African Etad', 'You're Dangerous', and 'It's Always You'. $12 SOLD

Rasputin: The Mad Monk(1966)- 1600' Reel two from the Hammer Film cannon is especially creepy with a cyan filter otherwise it's pink with slight color. It has minimal wear, one splice and it runs very smoothly.

R1 of Danny Jones...a good color a little choppy in the start $5 + shipping.
unknown reel of Cave Girl good color...selling for a friend $10.00 + shipping Came from Urbanski...he sold it as "having nudity" just leaving out the FACT that it is not of a the GOOD LOOKING gal that was lead to believe to have been. If you like footage of say...larger type women's breasts...this is a bargain.

[set5_b/set5_b/beatdeadhorse5.gif] [set5_b/set5_b/iagree.gif] I'm still looking for the first hundred feet of TWICE TWO with Laurel and Hardy. Will consider any incomplete print as long as it includes those first 100 feet. Original, dupe, too light, too dark, Wonderland, whatever. As long as it's visible, audible, and projectable. Can be NMT if starts from credits or fade-in. Must be cheap though, because so am I...(WELL!!) [set5_b/set5_b/nopity.gif] [set5_b/set5_b/dupe.gif]
