My new ST-1200HD arrived today, but I still haven't found any reels for it!

I need both 1200' reels for film (at least 5-6 of them) aswell as a 1200' take up reel (preferrably ELMO jewel).

Let me know!

Taylor Reel Corporation will make the 1600' capacity blue plastic reels(same diameter as 1200'), but you have to order at least 24 reels. I did this a few years ago and it cost about $9.00 a reel. Shipping to Norway I would guess at around $50.00. They come with a cardboard insert on each reel to keep them from warping.

9x24 = $224 plus around $50 = $274.00. That's about $11.00 a reel. Not bad, eh!

If they will not ship internationally, I would be glad to pick them up and ship them to you. I live 40 minutes away from Taylor Reel.

Urbanski has adapted 16mm reels in 1200' size for less than 20 dollars apiece. I ordered several when I got my first 1200 Elmo and they are new condition and fit perfectly.

Dan, that sounds like a great idea! Now I don't need that many reels, at least not for now. So maybe I can get someone else to join in on the purchase at split costs, because 274 USD is a bit out of my price range ;-)
