Hi everyone,

I am new to the forum. I recently acquired an ELMO ST-600 Super 8 projector. Motor sounds fine but no motion in either arm. I am suspecting a belt is broken. I need help getting it apart and trying to repair it. Does anyone have a service manual for this machine? I have the user manual but I need instructions on how to get in and handle some repairs.

Thanks!
Matthew

Hi, Matthew! Welcome to the forum. There is a lot of information here from the members and I am sure someone will offer some help. I couldn't find a service manual for the ST-600, but maybe the manuals for the ST-800, ST-180, or even the ST-1200 may be similar. Does anyone know?

If you take the back off and takes some pics and upload them to this post, that would help greatly. Probably needs a belt set, especially if it has been sitting a while.

The ST-600 and ST-180 are practically identical, the only difference is in the positioning of the speed control board.

As Dan said, the first order of business would be to install anew set of belts - looking at the posted pictures, they are needed!

I have the service manual for the ST-600 - I will have to scan it but I will not be able to do this for another 3 weeks or so (first or second week in September) as I will be away on business.

Regardless, when I get back I am going to scan it and put it on a CD as a PDF file.

Jon
