A member recently asked the difference between the Eumig S807D and the Eumig S810D. Well, for me, a family man who bought a new S807D in 1974 it was over a week's wages! The S810D was dearer by £34.00 and my take-home pay was £27.26 (I keep all my old P60 annual tax statements.)
Seriously, though, the only difference was their light output.
S807D Lens f1.6/17-30mm. Lamp 75watt 12volt EFN A1/230 - UK price in 1974 = £155.95 S810D Lens f1.3/15-30mm. Lamp 100watt 12volt EFP A1/231 - UK price in 1974 = £189.95
The Movie Maker review of April 1974 said that the S810D gave one-third again more light than the S807D.
Recently one of our members mentioned that he used a 100 watt lamp in his S807D, this at the time, was not recommended but I assume it could have been a sales ploy because presumably the same transformer was used in both machines.
