Has the down economy affected your film purchasing? When I scan the F/S lists online it appears as though film is selling quite well. They say in a down economy alcohol sales increase. Hmmmmm, I wonder if there is any correlation here. [set5_b/set5_b/cheers2.gif]

I don't know if it has anything to do with the economy or not but I've found several really good deals in films lately. Been getting things through the community both through forums and websights at really good prices. I don't think the economy affects the collector market. There are only so many of us that collect and I think that if you want something you would be prepared to pay for it. Not that prices are that high right now. It's also about respect. Most of the dealers selling here are dealing in good films and not what they found at junk sales. That's why films move quickly. Besides, I've found machines and films at less than 5 bucks and passed the savings along to friends. The economy hasn't affected film sales because most people in this hobby are about preservation of film. Anyone can buy a digital projector and hook up a DVD or Blu-Ray and show a film. It's a bit different when you have the actual unedited reels to show an audience.
