There is someone in 8mm Film Tech Forum looking to trade his Super 8 features for the same titles in 16mm, and Scope. I can't see that any owner of a 16mm print is going to think it more desirable to own the same picture in Super 8. If there is anyone feeling particularly generous or crazy, I have some VHS tapes of Abbott & Costello, I would swap for the same titles in 16mm. Just think, no setting up, just pop in the tape, sit back and watch. :D

Looked for the post but didn't find it--regardless, my short answer is no way would i do that. I understand some of the Derann Super 8 prints are reported to be very good (I only own one--Gone With the Wind, which is quite nice) but I cannot see how in the world a Super 8 print is better than a properly produced 16mm print. I cannot imagine anyone with 16mm swapping title for title for Super 8.

You mentioned probably one of the few cases in which I would trade, Chris - a poor 16mm GWTW for one of the excellent Super 8 prints.
