Are the white lines that you see in your prints when viewing caused by baseside scratches?

White lines that show up on prints usually are lines that are on the negative.

Or they're emulsion scratches. White means that all light from the projector is getting through at that point, base side scratches block light from hitting the emulsion so they're black.
