My daughter does film transfer to DVD. Last week, the film just suddenly stopped framing on her Eumig Soundomatic. It threads and runs through but does not index at each frame.

The only thing I see is that on the film arm, there is one pin, but seems to be a hole for another pin. Are there two pins? Did one maybe fall out? The arm seems to moving properly, both up and down, and in and out. If a pin is missing, does anyone know where I might buy a pin or an arm for this projector.

See pictures.

Mike, welcome to the forum.

In pic 2 the claw(film arm) has so much debris on it I can't make out if there should be two claws. I am sure there should be two. Maybe someone here with more knowledge of this projector will chime in.

Mike, if your daughter is using this projector as a telecine for transferring film to dvd, how does she eliminate the flicker or strobe effect without a variable speed control? Is she transferring sound films or just silent?

The picture of the claw shows a blunt tip. This claw should be tapered in order to catch the perf. Not sure what it would entail to replace this claw and/or arm, but if you are not mechanically inclined, I would not attempt it.

I am sure someone who has experience with this projector will have a helpful reply.
