NEWS FROM CLASSIC HOME CINEMA

Following the demise of Derann and their FFTC magazine - Classic will launch a new magazine, "FILM COLLECTING" early in January 2012. Once again, the mag will include the Super 8 Collectors section from Kieth Wilton's team, but the mag will (we hope) be smarter looking, in colour, and cover all gauges and aspects of film and collecting film. Video and DVD will not be reviewed. We will run articles on a number of subjects, and input from individuals who have something to give are most welcome. We will have a letters page, news and events page, free ads and all manner of information like where to get/where to find, lab reports technical, vintage etc etc

Please get in touch after Chistmas if you want a copy. Costs is £4 per issue. We will subscibe etc. Get your ads and articles then becAUSE THIS IS WHAT THIS GREAT HOBBY NEEDS

Phil, this fantastic news. I pledge to subscribe when it is time. I have several periodicals from the past if any photos or info is needed.

Okay my fellow collectors, let's get on board. [set5_b/set5_b/driving.gif] [set5_b/set5_b/cheers2.gif]

Had a visit to Phil’s and he was kind enough to give me a sneak peek at the new magazine which is now being prepared and it is looking good with some very interesting content indeed. My goodness Phil is very committed to film and along with the new Film Collector magazine has more good news for us with regard to future film releases which I am sure will be welcomed by collector’s world wide.

He also presented me with his latest new and used film catalogue to have a peep at which is just off the press as it were, and within are some nice titles so it is well worth sending him just £6 in postage stamps to receive it or pay £9 for world wide shipping for a full year. This will also gain you entry to the Classic Film Group and you will receive the list first as a premiere customer.

There was one bit of bad news….. The superb 1932 cartoon Buddy’s Theatre is now completely sold out which was a very popular title and one we show here more or less weekly. This WB classic is so full of fun as Buddy in the film runs his own Cinema which as you’ll guess is full of miss haps. The good news is that CHC have a good stock of other brand new prints in so go wild and treat your self for Christmas.

Happy film collecting!
