I'm pretty sure this is around in 16mm. I see no reason why it would not be. Expect to pay high for an original, though.
It's an excellent film, BTW.

[As a sidebar to "The Crowd"; yes it is available; the top-quality print I was offered once was in the $300-350 range.]

As for a desirable S-8 feature, it could be any of the classic MGM or RKO musicals. If they were printed on new fine-grain stock, they could look spectacular.
"The Road Warrior" would be great in 16mm, as would any of the Powell/Pressburger classics.

i did aquire a 16mm print of "the crowd" last august for$299 from Mr.Sigel [set5_b/set5_b/rofl.gif]
