Does anyone else out there like the 50ft U8 pink and white film boxes? I think their cool and have three of the Universal Monsters silent editions. Does anyone know how many Monsters were released in these boxes and does anyone have any? I have DOOM of DRACULA, CREATURE WALKS and the MUMMY.

Roger,

I'm not familiar with the 50' boxes, but I do have many U8 200' and 400'. I'm sure someone will out there knows the answer. Could you post a pic?

I have never seen those before. That's pretty cool looking.

They sure look bigger than 3x3. [set5_b/set5_b/smilielol5.gif]

These photos are larger than the actual boxes.

Roger...Those are great looking boxes! I didn't even know that U8 made 50' headline additions. I too would be interested in knowing how many titles were available. I'm guessing those are pretty rare.

Bill

Hi, Bill

I have only seen 5 of these and was lucky to find these on ebay. Believe it or not they did not sell and I was able to work out a deal with the seller and got these for $10.50 and that included the shipping. The only other two that I know of is House of Frankenstein and The Mummy's Tomb. I am on ebay all of the time and have never seen another one up for auction.

Bill

What I have been told is that these boxes were used only temporarily as U8 had decided to stop producing 50' reels. These were the last prints this size.

Roger....probably leftovers from Castle....uses the same images from the Castle releases. I think they (Castle) stopped putting out the headline editions in the early to mid 70's. I didn't realize U8 even put these out. Very cool [set5_b/set5_b/coolgleamA.gif]

Good luck finding the others!

Bill :D
