When I try to thread the film it can’t engage the sprocket because the sprocket gear is set back farther than the 8mm film holes. The film can’t go back any farther because it’s against the side of the projector.
If I take the other side cover off I can move the sprocket gear over more toward the perfs but as soon as I release it it moves back.

I just purchased the projector and can’t figure out how the film is suppose to engage the sprocket.
There does not appear to be any kind of adjustment.

Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the Forum, Herb. Found this instruction card which is usually inside the cover. If you don't have one, maybe this will help
