hello to all!!! been a while. my sankyo 700 super 8 sound has been running great. i recently changed the rewind belt, was not split, but very well streched outta shape. made big difference for the better. but when rewinding film i notice it is still slow, an when i get to about 20 feet of film still on back reel, rewind comes to a dead stop. really no big deal, i just manually rewind film back onto reel. what could be causing the problem? do i need to tighten something or give a lube job? really don't know. this is a good projector an continues to run well. any help much appreciated. thnx :D

Thomas,, if you replaced the rewind belt than you should get it to rewind? Is it the right belt? What you should do is take off the rear cover and watch it rewind! That way you can see what is going on! Give a update! Leon.
