I see this problem a lot. The brushes are starting to go in the older models of the GS1200 Elmo Projectors. If you see that the gets real HOT! Then check those brushes! To check those brushes. You have to take off the two black caps. Top and bottom. If they look worn and run down then replace! Also when out take a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to clean. Take swab put in the brush opening and turn the motor fan by hand. You might use a few cotton swabs to get it nice and clean . once clean put the brushes back in. If you don't change or check the motor brushes than the motor could burn out! So beware of this problem!
