I have seen on the forum how to install a 2 blade shutter on the GS 1200 but how much difference is there in doing the GS 800?

Hi Roger, to install a two blade shutter on a GS800 should be the same as the GS1200. It might be a little Easter . the shutters you can get from the reel image! They have them in stock Brand new. Price 35.00. Good luck! Leon.

Thanks Leon. I thought that since the 800 had fewer parts inside than the 1200 that it might be a bit easier. I was wondering about setting the shutter timing and how to accomplish this.

Roger, It might take a few trys to get it right . to set the shutter! Once you get it . then you tight in up the screw's. On the shutter! All so you can adjust the lamp. For more light. And take the lamp wire and solder to the high side on the transformer. You see the lamp wire is usely on the low setting! From the factory! Leon.

Leon. The GS 800 doesn't have a HI LO lamp switch. Is it still possible to wire the 100w lamp for more light?

Hi Roger, It should be on the transformer. I know the ST800 did not have a lamp switchh! Usely the ones that don't have the hi lo lamp switch. You have to move the lamp wire to the hi or lo terminals!on the transformer! So try that out. Leon
