Does anybody know if this can be made into a dual projector like the Eimig Mark S 712D? I'm wondering if you use the kit that comes with the 712, gates, sprockets etc. if it would play reg 8 also. It's the same as a Eumig 712. It even has the speed switch on the front.

I have wondered this myself with some of the Eumig 800 series machines. I think the biggest problem would be after changing the gate and sprockets, which can of course be done, would be the pulldown claw. I would not think it would be able to track both Super 8 and regular 8 unless you remove the bottom pin of the pulldown claw turning it into a single claw machine. The other problem that is more apparent would be that since this is a Super 8 only machine you would have to also re-spool all your regular 8mm films onto Super 8 reels since the supply reel will not accept the much smaller hole of a regular 8 spool. Just my thoughts, which could be way off!
