Post subject:  SANKYO 700 PICS TO DIAGNOSE MY PROBLEM

last post, I mentioned I removed my lens to check to see if it needed to be cleaned, it didn't. put lens back in place properly I think, but now when I put projector on an start to run a film this is what shows on my screen. a big white blob, what on earth iam I doing wrong? film is properly threaded and running thru the projector just fine I think. two other pixs show film running thru film gate and to take up reel. any help, much appreciated.

I think your lens is not properly seated. Looks like it's pushed too far back in the holder. Try a redo on that.

Thomas, with film threaded and running, move the lens in and out of the barrel. Does it make a difference in the white blob?

Thomas, when you removed the lens to see if it needed cleaning, did you dismantle it in any way? Something is not seated correctly.

no luck at all chris. maybe something did plop out an i was not aware of it. but i put lens in, still get white blob, not a perfect square. do you know of anyone who does projector repair in the new england area or along the east coast? bought this unit from a person in texas, do not wish to send it his way, will be to big an expense for me. thnx

Did you take the lens apart, or just remove it from the projector?

I just removed the lens, that was it. very strange why this is happening. projector runs fine, was refurbished by an individual who has been repairing them for a long time. any body you could recommend so I can send this off an they can take a look at it?
