I have been asked a few times over the years about S8mm intermissions, so my question to S8mm collectors is this: Is there enough interest in new intermission prints? The only place I can find that can do the work is Andec in Germany and they are not cheap. The prices are about as much as 16mm prints...but if there is enough interest in any of the following, we can have some S8mm negs made for a print run. The approximate lengths are for the 16mm negs...the S8mm would be about half in footage.

Some thoughts on what can be done are:

COLOR Astro Daters set: Coming Soon - Feature Presentation - Intermission (sold only as a set) guessing 40' my 16mm negs are not back form the lab yet

B&W Bambi Meets Godzilla this is a string of 5 prints which I would cut into sections apx 306' (or about 61' each)

COLOR Welcome Opener & either the matching 5 or 10 minute Refreshment Time Clock apx 40' for opener apx 215' for 5 min. clock apx 380 for 10 min. clock

B&W 10 minute Hungry Dwarf clock apx 380'

Wayne, what would the ballpark price range be on these? Anyway you could make some digests or are there copyright problems?

Dan, I added the apx footage count that I have for the 16mm negs. The footage would be about half for the S8mm.
Here is a link that has the pricing. Keep in mind I do not have magnetic audio, only optical, so a magnetic track would have to be created which would be a bit more (not sure how much)

scroll down to see the 16mm to 8mm prices. http://www.andecfilm.de/assets/pdfs/pr_6.pdf
Their prices are in meters, so use the Kodak calculator to figure meters to feet....etc.
http://motion.kodak.com/motion/Template ... our=FFFFFF

You can take the footage for the 16mm to get time, then convert the time to S8mm & meters.

I would obviously need enough extra to cover the neg work...so more prints of the same thing would drive the overall costs down.

As for making digests, are you referring to other films? I don't have the elements for anything else, & I would guess that editing would be a killer in price considering I just forked out $1200.00 for 4 minutes worth of editing/sound/negs in finished work in 16mm.

Cross anything less than 130' off the list to start...can't afford the editing to bring it up to the minimum meters required.
