I have a Eumig S940 stereo machine that has no sound; no hum. I do get a "thump" from the amp when switch is on and off--but that's it. Anyone familiar with this complex machine and what problem is? Thanks--John

There may be oxidisation on some switches, try operating each one a few times, paying particular attention to the record switch/es.
