Greetings all, I have an old 8mm Bell & Howell Monterey 221 that I've put some time into. I modified the light and changed the o-ring belts. The steel reel belts appear still operational. Unfortunately, most of the film I have ran displays out of frame. Occasionally, playing with the little metal lever by the focus helps but something is still wrong. Any ideas on what to check next? I would really like to get through some of 150+ rolls of film I have. Thanks!

Hi, Ryan! Welcome. I would guess it is a matter of adjusting the claw arm. The claw has small teeth that grab the perforations on the side of the film. The claw is on the end of an arm that goes up an down. i have adjusted the claw ever so slightly on some projectors to correct this problem. Not sure how many teeth are on the 221 claw. Probably two.
