Hi all.I'm very new to this.

I have an 8 mm hand cranked projector.working light etc.

All except a film to view on it!

What reel size would this be,and is tape OK to fasten onto the other reel?

Many thanks.

Hi Bryan,

Welcome to the Forum!
Happy to answer questions but need a bit more information and specifics. (A photo would be most helpful!) Film is typically attached to the "other reel", the takeup reel, by putting the film into a slot on the takeup reel's core. Also, your projector could be 8mm, 16mm, super 8, all different gauges and perforations of films. A few more details and we can hopefully have you running.
