I know there are not a lot of Super 8 Optical prints around, relative to Mag sound. But, how is the sound quality on these in comparison?

Mike I have many super 8 optical features. I have played them on Elmo GS-1200 and Elmo ST-1200 mag/opt. I think the mag films are far superior. Magnetic sound is warm and full because of the industry standard 1/16 inch wide track. The opt tracks are very thin.

It doesn't compare with 16mm Optical at all?

I only have one optical feature on super 8 and it sounded good but I think that any fade in the film can affect the sound quality. At least this is what I have read. I don't have personal experience with that because I only have one film, nothing to compare it too. If I were to compare 16mm optical to super 8 optical I'd say 16 mm wins.

16mm optical can be exceptionally good, especially from the 1980s forward.
