Post subject:  Asking for some help with film rewinding

I finished watching an entire spool of film for the first time. I would like to ask for some help with film rewinding.
After I watched the first spool of film, the film just pulled out of the reel and went loose. So, now the whole film is stored in the take-up reel. Because I have only one take-up reel, I need to move(rewind) the film in the take-up reel to the original reel and use the take-up reel to watch another film. Now I don't know how to move(rewind) the film in the take-up reel to the original reel. I tried to run the projector backwards so that I can send the film in the take-up reel to the original reel, but never succeeded. My projector is RevueLux 6006ML which, I think, is identical to Eumig Mark S 802. I would greatly appreciate anyone's help. Thank you very much.

Suwan

Sure: just attach the end of the film which is on the takeup reel to the empty front reel. Then turn the red control level below to "V" and that should do it for you. If the machine doesn't move the film, you could have a problem with a belt.

That's good news, Suwan. What was that first movie you watched with the projector?

It was "2010: The year we make contact" (optical sound). In fact I have two more reels to finish watching the movie. :D

How is the optical sound on that machine, Suwan? The Revue Lux 6006ML and the Eumig S802 are very similar; both are made by Eumig however, the RevueLux plays magnetic AND optical while the Eumig, I believe, is magnetic only.

The optical sound was good. Although the dynamic range of optical sound in inferior to magnetic sound, I heard that, often times magnetic sound is not recorded as supposed to be, resulting in worse condition than optical sound.

I live in South Korea. I guess there are not many Koreans in this forum.
