I received a box from my mother's estate and it contains 6 films purchased in Germany in the late 1950s. One is a compilation of shorts of Charlie Chaplin, Laurel and Hardy, Buster Keaton and the Keystone Cops all on one real. The films are in boxes from France and were purchased from a photography store in Iserlon, Germany and appear to have come to Europe via an export company in Chicago. One of the films is "Little Black Sambo" and another is s German fairytale in stop action.

Any suggestions as to how to get an estimate?

Welcome John. We can help here if you can provide some more information on each print. First, are the original boxes included? If not then the selling price goes down. Also you need to find out what company printed each film. The biggest factor though is the condition of each print. Even if you have a rare film, if it's scratched, worn terribly or missing sections then the price usually goes to near zero. The best starting point if you don't know much about film is to lay them out and post a picture of them on here.
