If you're midway through a reel of film while viewing it on a Eumig, can it be taken out of the film path.

I have often wondered about that myself and not ever owning one I would guess that short of taking it apart just cut the film just before entering the projector, run the rest up on the take up reel and head to the bench and splice it back together. This is one reason I like ELMO's.

I have a couple of them and they seem alright except unloading midway. I have 3rd that the amp is not working. Do you know of someone who works on them?

I sure don't. If it's mechanical I try to repair my own. If it's the circuit board, I try to find a replacement board.

To be honest, I've found that removing the film from a ST-1200 is no easy task either.

I have removed film many times from an ST-1200. It's pretty easy until you get to the bottom sprocket. That one can be a bit ornery. If you hold that sprocket gate open and move the film back and forth gently, it will release.

Update on amp not working: This is embarrassing but the glass fuse was bad. The wire running down the middle of the glass fuse looked good but after taking it out it was floating on the one end. While it was in the holder it looked ok. I never took it out. DUH! for me. I checked the usual things and could not find anything wrong so I figured I needed a true repairman. It was so simple! Now I feel simple! [set5_b/set5_b/biggrinjester.gif]
