Tomorrow is the Big Day here in the USA to kick off the Christmas holiday season: Thanksgiving. I'll be doing the turkey feast cooking honors in the kitchen during the morning hours, enjoying dinner in the afternoon, then settling back to eat pie and watch "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" on dvd, then a bit of the Dallas - Washington NFL game. But it wouldn't be Thanksgiving without a true celluloid film show at night; my first holiday show of the season. I'll be screening, all in 16mm, the great 1950 Centron classic "A Day of Thanksgiving" followed by a beautiful 1950s Kodachrome print of "Let's Bake a Pie." Then, my first "official" screening for an audience of this years prize acquisition: "Miracle on 34th Street", the beginning of which, appropriately, begins on Thanksgiving Day. Anyone else showing movies on Turkey Day?
