How about when a African-American calls another the "N" word. Some don't mind that but many don't like it and I can certainly understand why. I imagine that started with Rap Music lyrics. I have to say that I do not like Rap Music at all especially with its often expletive lyrics. What I am noticing sadly: the generation before us that knew the meaning of good grammar and good manners, as they die and us Baby Boomers age, is that courtesy of today's generation language and manners are going right into the toilet. Now mind you, I am not saying that there aren't exceptions to this. But its disturbing and sad.

All I want to say is that most of us older guys still have good grammer and don't go around calling each other fools or saying like with every other word. I think what is lost is a bit of respect for fellow humans. I've noticed that we're all in the same hobby and for the most part people respect others no matter age difference and talk to each other with the same ammount of respect. One of the reasons I'm pleased to be here.

I agree! A smattering of humor here and there, but overall we try to communicate respectfully. In the words of Rodney King... &%^#@*%$@!! [set5_b/set5_b/toetap05.gif]

Very true except that we are a small part of the overall picture. Fortunately we have our own little world here thanks to Dan. Now please pass the popcorn with extra butter on it [set5_b/set5_b/lurk5.gif]

Joe, I thought the Rodney King thing was pretty good. Rodney screwed up, then LAPD screwed up, then, to top it off we end up with....."Can't we all just get along". Maybe if Rodney had said, "Can't we all just like get along or something?, it would have made more sense. [set5_b/set5_b/conehead.gif]

By the way, is the Rodney King incident known in other countries besides the US?
