After a really crappy week, my tape splicer just seized up on me. I knew I shouldn't ask myself what is next...

However after a few minutes of WTF's I gave it a bath in lighter fluid (a.k.a. filmrenew without the wax) then applied some synthetic oil on the sides of the pivot points. After some semi-gentle persuasion it started moving again...added more oil...moves better...cleaned off excess oil...now I'm back to finishing up DAN's bandsaw print. I wish I could have fixed everything else this easy.

From what I hear Dan's really looking forward to receiving it.

Wayne, I'm curious. What kind of splicer?

Nothing really to see but a basic wrap-around splicer using cheap-ass tape on the faded bandsaw print. [set5_b/set5_b/smilielol5.gif]

It looks like that band saw print is bloody red. Cheap tape is the only way to go on this. This would make a good double feature with Ishtar along with a Bozo cartoon. What was that post, "You know You're in Th Wrong Hobby When............. [set5_b/set5_b/toetap05.gif] [set5_b/set5_b/smilielol5.gif]

Please god no more Ishtar references. I keep a copy of the movie here on VHS just to torture with. The only decent scene in the movie was "Look what you have" I'f you know the scene I'm talking about then sorry but you saw the film. I'll never have those 90 minutes of my life back.

Thank Gawd I don't remember that scene. I watched it on a vhs rental 20 years ago. I may have fallen asleep. [set5_b/set5_b/puke.gif]
