Chris, I about pissed myself when I realized it was all 6 chairs for $75. They had been listed for a long time with no takers...I couldn't fire an email & followup phone call fast enough. I could get all the chairs I want for free, but it is an 11 hour ride one way...simple math said buy these and fast.

BTW, I thought this is a good deal for 8 cup holders compared to $25 for 1 identical holder. http://www.ebay.com/itm/330835400345?ss ... 1439.l2649

At CINEVENT there is a lot of paper items such as film magazines, posters, stills, lobby cards and DVDs, VHS, Laserdisc, and one large room is all 16mm and one other dealer had 3 full tables of 8mm. There is of course 8mm and 16mm sprinkled among the many dealers. And Richard P is there also with on site service and equipment sales. I came away broke and happy! They also have all day screenings and a poster auction too.

Got the chairs home, and they look better than I thought. Now to do some re-arranging and make a permanent mount.

Wayne, that's a really cool color and fabric. This should greatly improve your thaeater experience. Are you going to fasten them to a floor or plywood?

My plan is to make a stepped platform base so the rear seats are raised about 6 or 8 inches higher then the front seats.

BUT, I just got off the phone and it looks like I'm heading back out of state again in a few days so it may have to wait for the finishing touches until this winter.

Here's a FREE 16mm Eiki SSL-O, courtesy of fellow local collector Dave Lucidi. He posted this on Larry's 16mm Forum and offered it, gratis, as a parts machine. He's only about 10 miles from me, so it was a done deal. I gave him a couple trailers in appreciation. This machine needs a thorough cleaning and going over; the first repair will be to the focus knob which still has the original rubber that turned to goo. Looking forward to working on this one.

I used car windscreen washer hose on my Eiki for that focus knob thing. Worked a treat.

Thanks, Mick. That's a prompt for me to get down to the Pep Boys (auto parts store) and pick up some of that hose. I use vinyl fish tank hosing, but am not thrilled with it. I fired up the projector, and it functions in forward and reverse, very quiet machine.
