Personally, I've never really liked the slot-loads because that rear sprocket is hidden when the cover is on. I always worry about the sprockets not engaging the perfs properly - I'm a little paranoid.

Otherwise, I love the Eikis. I use an RM-1 and a RT-1. Love 'em.

Finally getting to the collection and checking out some unwatched purchases from last year. I'm a sucker for "B" movies and managed to add some fun stuff to my collection at very low cost. STARLIGHT OVER TEXAS is a fast paced 1938 Monogram Tex Ritter musical western and I picked it up for the amazing price of $9.99 off eBay. It's a complete, pin sharp 16mm original and looks beautiful on the Big Screen.

New in the archive is a pin sharp 16mm print of Lone Star Moonlight. This one has ELEVEN songs all with western coolness featuring Merle Travis, Hoosier Hotshots, "The Smart Set" (!!) and Judy Clark and her Rhythm Cowgirls (yeah). Plot is next to zero with Ken Festus Curtis as a returning veteran who tries to save Pop's country western radio station. I love this stuff

After the original post I learned that the Chainsaws & Toasters had a reel strip issue so I opted to change the order to The Phantom of the Opera slot instead since they didn't know when the correct reel strip for C&T would be found. WELL, I was able to track down the strips and now the C&T sits here as well. [set5_b/set5_b/piggy.gif]

@Chris, why get up in the morning if you can't have fun? [set5_b/set5_b/cheers2.gif]
