Are there any movie poster collectors on the forum? I have a few in my collection, especially lobby cards. LBs are small and don't take much room to display, so having a limited area, they work out fine for me.

I remember seeing a program on TV where a man was restoring an old house. When he removed some of the walls he found hundreds of rolled half sheets from the the 1930s. They were in pristine condition and several were from the Marx Brothers films. The value of these was in the hundred thousands.

I have quite a few from my days in the cinema - 79-85. I've been trying to sell them for some time but nobody's buying.
I have an original ALIEN, DIRTY HARRY, THE THING, stuff like that.

I have several from the the 1930s to 1960s. Many sizes and in very good condition.

I bought bulk lots during my "pack rat" days but now collect only paper for films I own. Nothing like completing the cinema effect than posting a one-sheet for HOMICIDAL to set the mood for that night's feature.

I was into lobby card collection before I got into film. Have pretty much the entire downstairs walls covered with them. The oldest I have is a complete set of "Goodbye Mr. Chips" from 1939. I also have an entire wall devoted to "Grease",which is my wife's favorite movie. Right now I am trying to build an entire set of "Holiday Inn" lobby cards (my favorite movie). I have 4 of the US lobby cards so far, and most of the UK ones. They come around very rarely and this could take some years to get them all.

I'll bet those Holiday Inn cards are gorgeous. Lobby cards are just the right size for displaying in the home. There are quite a few in my collection, but I don't have the wall space to display many of them. One day when I finish the screening room, I'll add more of these beauties.
