Could someone please tell me of a supplier of a good film cleaning solution UK based if possible, I have just bought around 60 old home movies on 8mm and super8 from around the UK via EBay and some are quite dirty, also is there a cheep purpose made machine to hook the reels on when cleaning ?.
I am new to this as you can probably guess! I haven’t even bought a projector yet...any day now, just waiting for the right one to show up on EBay.

Thanks for any help
Colin.

Colin,

Paul Foster(who is also a member) sells Film Guard and rewinds. Clean and lubricate the film with Film Guard by placing the film on the table mount hand controlled rewinds. I would buy the 16mm rewinds which will accommodate 16mm, 8mm, and with a couple of adapters, accommodate super 8 films too. Paul Foster is in the UK. [set5_b/set5_b/cheers2.gif]
