I.B.Tech scope! Nice. I don't have any scope lens for Eiki. Maybe someone will chime in with something. What is the distance from the lens to the screen?

Last night (NOTLD) was great! Had around 75 people turn out in the pouring rain. Print was beautiful. Sound was a little distorted on the second reel but it kind of fit the atmosphere of watching this particular movie on a dark rainy night in a basement in a down and out part of the city!

Of course, like the dummy I am, I did not take any pictures.

David, anyone who can get 75 people to show up for a film showing in a basement on a dark cold rainy night is by no stretch of the imagination a dummy. [set5_b/set5_b/cheers2.gif]

Did you manage to use a black masking around the screen?

We didn't go with the masking, there was just too much going on at my job (this film thing is a fun "side" project that I've taken on) leading up to last night. We have received a donation of a large (12 or 14 foot) screen that I believe does have the black border around it that we need to pick up before November 17th when we show THE THIRD MAN!

I'll bet the 12' wide Dalite screen. That has a black border around it. If you can fill that screen to the borders it will look great! Take pix next time. :D

You've got to be kidding! What a great find! We all want one of those discoveries at least once in our lifetime, I'm sure!

Has anyone ever considered starting up a rental library of 8mm or 16mm prints? David, want some help "prepping" a stack of your prints? [set5_b/set5_b/coolgleamA.gif]

The Third Man is tomorrow night. I've been so busy with my real work that I'm not ready for it. I'm sure it will be fine. The opening credits seem to be original (nice contrast, nice sound) and then almost seems to go to dupe or reduction? I'm not complaining for a free print though. It still looks awesome and nobody in the audience will know or care.

In other news, I've dug up some more niiiiiiiiiice 16mm prints including King Kong, Jason and the Argonauts, It's A Wonderful Life (that makes two), A Christmas Story, The African Queen, The King and I, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Stagecoach, The Hound of the Baskervilles, Persona (Bergman), Il Vangelo Secondo Matteo, Nosferatu, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Un Chien Andelou, Man of Aran (that makes three!!!), Foreign Correspondent....it's late, I'm sure that I'm forgetting quite a lot....!

David, could you pick some lottery numbers for me? [set5_b/set5_b/biggrinjester.gif] I'm sure to win, right??

Your recent film discovering are amazing. You must let us know the conditions, especially color. [set5_b/set5_b/hurray.gif]

More pix too!
