I have films in my library that are 15 years old or more. They have never been cleaned.
They seem to look good and really don't have any issues with vinegar smell or warping.

What is your suggestion? The films are definitely not perfect, but do you think cleaning would really improve the picture?

Thanks for your help.

Best

Hi Ron,
I am not a fan of cleaning film just for the sake of cleaning it. If a print is obviously "dirty", or has dried to the point of chattering a bit in the projector, I will give it a Filmrenew bath. Otherwise, if it looks nice on the screen and runs smoothly, I let it be.
