Thx for the suggestion. I paid only US60 for Projector - so this option for Manual (US40 including postage) is quite pricey! Was hoping there might be an on-line source at lower cost? Thx anyway - much appreciated. John |

That is the only place I have ever seen a manual for that model of projector. In general, there are a great many projector manuals that have never been scanned and are only available as hard copies. |

Thanks Ken. That makes things clearer. I did find one for Model 459 - quite similar - here: http://www.film-tech.com/warehouse/manuals/BH459.pdf My 483 received yesterday (eBay) seems little used and runs film OK - but very noisy - emanating from area of fan(s) - could be bearings/ belts, or gear train ie long-time-no-lube? Most hardware seems to be secured to front plate so I removed six holding screws to allow front plate to separate from housing - but something (apart from film cutter) is still holding housing . . . Would like to clean up gears, check belts and re-lube. Have seen SuperLube suggested as OK to avoid damage to (nylon?) gears. Would appreciate any tips - including best lube for projector moving parts? Thanks again. John |
