Well Robert, I have always enjoyed your posts on the forums. I'm sorry to know that you and Hugh were banned on the SF forum. I personally enjoyed Hugh's posts on the 8mm forum, but he stopped posting there when someone replied to one of his posts that he was being negative and whining. Hey, does every post made on a forum have to be "happy and sugar coated"? Aren't we allowed to be in a bad mood once in a while when making a comment? I guess not, if you don't want to be bullied off or banned! [set5_b/set5_b/icon_bs.gif]

Thanks for your kind comments Joe. Contrary to popular belief, Hugh Scott left Doug's forum; he was given the opportunity to remain, but decided against it, as he couldn't guarantee not posting something political in future. Hugh has 46 years of experience in home cinema; shame I can't persuade him to join us here, but he is reluctant to get involved again.

With all due respect, lets be honest here, Robert. You're not providing the full story.

The person to whom you're referring wasn't banned simply because of the "European Union ruling concerning halogen lamps".

From what I read, the reason Kevin got upset by that person was because of the complaints about, amongst other things, alleged racist remarks.

I don't post on that forum anymore either, for reasons of my own, but, I still consider Kevin a friend and it would be unfair to not tell the whole story.

Michael, looks like no one will know why except the persons that read the post before it was deleted.
