Thank you for allowing me to join you Forum; it looks very good.
I started collecting Super 8 back in 1973, I was buying or making films regularly until the early 80s when so many distributors in the UK went out of business, and the two magazines 'Movie Maker' and 'Film Making' ceased publication. I had a break from the hobby for several years, then started collecting 16mm; which I prefer, as you never know just what is going to turn up.

Thank you Dan and Chris for your welcome. You will see in another post that I have also been banned from that Forum, as was my friend. Between us we had contributed over 1,000 posts, yet the Administrator, when he banned us said he couldn't see much in the way of contributions. I think that forum is on it's last legs; this is a much more professional set up, and am glad to be here.

Hi Robert and welcome to the forum. I have read and appreciated all your postings elsewhere but could not comment on them as I am not a member of that particular forum, suffice to say that your knowledge and experience of our hobby will be much appreciated here where members right to an opinion is never stifled.

Best wishes,
Paul.

Hello Friends,

Thank you so much for accepting me as part of this esteemed forum.

I got dragged into the 8mm world a few years ago and so consider myself to be a new bee and a novice. However I do hope to learn as well as contribute my meager thoughts, ideas and experience on Standard 8 and Super 8 films and projectors, mainly projectors. I have collected a range of 8mm projectors.

Hopefully I will soon know you all better. I have come with a motto - "Projectionists Helping Projectionist"

Thank you and I hope to be a useful member of this forum & team.

Cheers & best regards, [set5_b/set5_b/cheers2.gif]
