Who are you Chris Smith, and why are you moderating this forum instead of Dan :?:

We are both sharing Moderating. I am Administrator. Chris is a film collector with a fantastic super and 16mm collection. He shows drive in type shows in his yard complete with in car speakers.

Good question, Joe Taffis...who am I? I was honored when my friend Dan asked me to be a moderator on his forum. My collecting pedigree goes way back to my first projector, a plastic battery operated Brumberger that handled a lot of 50' Castle headline editions in its day. (It was the best Christmas present I ever received and I still have it in my display case.) Since that time, I went through the progression into Super 8 silent and finally, around 1976, Super 8 sound. I acquired most of my stuff from Red Fox, Steel Valley, Canterbury, Art Edelstein and Famous Films, Thunderbird, Niles and of course good old Blackhawk. I picked up my first 16mm projector in 1990: a $5.00 flea market Eiki which still runs like a jewel. I own around 10 Super/ Reg 8mm projectors and as many 16mm. My uncataloged film collection includes 400-500 Super and Regular 8mm reels and somewhere around 2000 16mm prints. I have been an avid fan of all the forums for years so I recognize many names of you folks that joined this new forum. I am happy to be a part of Dan's new adventure. More to come!
