Come on Joe!

Don't let that stop you from checking it out. It's filled with reviews on old and new releases and current news about 8mm and 16mm and has nice articles on equipment and collecting.

It has articles by Joe too!

Bill :D

One I can think of off the top of my head is super 8 optical features.

Bill

The last issue he wrote about the Star Wars cinevision print.

Anybody can submit articles for the magazine just like Film Collector.

Fair enough. I suppose he knows about as much or as little as anyone else about the hobby.

I might give an issue a go.

Mick,
Sorry, I couldn't resist....Although true, don't let that put you off. Steve Osborne's THE REEL IMAGE is like going back in time to the "Glory Days" of super 8!....
Definitely subscribe, you won't be disappointed!
And yes, like Bill stated, Steve gladly accepts articles for publication from collectors far & wide :D

 I hear ya.

Do you also receive Film Collector, Joe?

I'm interested in the comparison.

FILM COLLECTOR is a more slick publication, in the classic magazine sense. THE REEL IMAGE is "Old School" style with a special charm for collectors, and great little eye grabber ads that reminds one of mags and catalogues from the 1950s & '60s :D

I subscribe to both and enjoy them very much. You can also subscribe to FILM COLLECTOR from Steve Osborne. I have had trouble in the past with my credit card on overseas purchases so I subscribe from Steve. I WISH Phil Sheard would accept pay-pal but that is another issue [set5_b/set5_b/beatdeadhorse5.gif]
