Hmm.. thanks for explaining how these trays are supposed to work. However at a round the 2min 40 sec mark a reference is made to a jar containing a number of pens that also contained some money, which was then taken as well. If that jar isn't part of 'customer goodwill' that act could be construed as theft, even if the amount taken is only a few cents. Please enlighten me if I've got it wrong.

That's exactly what I thought, Mal.

From what I've read on the "penny trays", taking 10 cents was a bit, shall we say, greedy. However, the money in the bottom of the pen jar was none of his business.
I'm really surprised that Osi is actually publicising this.

The jar was definitely off limits! The tray was too without employee authorization. [set5_b/set5_b/toetap05.gif]

Here is a response youtube video that is priceless:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvG9KPed0O0

Gee, from what I read on Cx's Facebook, he's very knowledgeable concerning legal matters. [set5_b/set5_b/smilielol5.gif] In his video he states the store employees had been watching him for years. Hmmmmmmmmmmm! I guess they knew one day he would find that penny tray. If no legal action on his part is required, the Paypal money will go to charity. Seriously? I've heard that one before.

As the maker of the above youtube addresses him, looks like man/boy Osi got a verbal spanky.

Interesting point raised in that video also. What change does a copier take over there in the US?

Any copier I have seen in my life never accepted penny's. Nickels, dimes or quarters.

Paul's machines are 25 cents a copy. Better look for more change somewhere else.

Maybe a job in the stock room at Paul's could help. [set5_b/set5_b/nopity.gif]

Actions have consequences. Wrong is wrong is wrong, and it's still wrong and moaning and whining and trivializing will not make it right. 16 cents or "6 silly cents" from the pen jar, it's wrong. He can rant for 11 minutes on You Tube. He can spin it all he wants until he looks like a fool, for all I care, but he was taking what DID NOT BELONG TO HIM. Period. And the bad guys in all of this?? The MANAGERS ??!!??? Seriously???? OSGOOD confessed on You Tube that he took the money and the bad guys are the MANAGERS????? Really??? Bill Phelps was soooo correct in his assessment of this: the entitlement mentality. And, not a bit of this latest BS is the least bit surprising to me.

Dan, you are cracking me up [set5_b/set5_b/rofl.gif]

Strangely, there appears to be a lot of support for him on the Small Format forum.
Only one person has commented about dipping into the pen jar but still thinks the staff over-reacted.
