OH, I do remember that unit. It was part of a huge sale. I was going to drive over to S.F. to buy it from Rob but ended up passing because Scott wanted it so badly and I already had a 6K reel pedestal. Scott, don't you think it is time to keep your end of the bargain for that long play uint that Rob fronted you for a trade...how many years ago now? Takes a lot of balls to post about something you basically stole from another forum member.

Are you saying in your opening post for this thread you DIDN'T type that you have an EIKI long play unit? And are you saying that in fact you kept your end of the deal you made with Rob when he sent you the unit before payment or trade was sent on your part?

I'm not sure how your mind works, but IMHO if you don't keep your end of a deal that is stealing. Feel free to get Osi to help you out if needed.

Thanks Wayne!

Stealing, I guess technically it's theft.

* Ohio Revised Code * Title [29] XXIX CRIMES - PROCEDURE
Chapter 2913: THEFT AND FRAUD
(C) “Deprive” means to do any of the following:
(2) Dispose of property so as to make it unlikely that the owner will
recover it;
(3) Accept, use, or appropriate money, property, or services, with purpose not
to give proper consideration in return for the money, property, or services,
and without reasonable justification or excuse for not giving proper consideration.

Scott

You dragged it on for months not following through on anything.
When someone tried to negotiate with you for me, you told him the unit never
worked and you got rid of it when he suggested you send it back. I gave you
plenty of chances, even suggesting paying for it, and you never fulfilled the trade.

Send the unit back to me or send a cashiers check for $450.00
Trading for cartoons will not work for me anymore.

I know nothing of this but is it my understanding that Robert sent Scott a long-play unit and Scott has not paid him for it?

ALREADY THROWN OFF
One forum for insolence and admitted (foot-in-mouth) theft.

He's usually making Lame-o excuses on why he cant send me a reel of
several cartoons worth the trade. Or asking a ebay seller a favor to accept
a money order, while feeding him a line of you messed up bull on something
that he wants.
And writing reality checks that bounce, then posting them on the froum acting like he is a victim.

Larry Urbanski wrote:

Scott...you have 24 hours to answer this thread and rectify the trade...either return the equipment or follow through on the trade.

If we don't hear from you in a satisfactory way you will be removed and become inactive on the forum.

There is a huge part of this forum called Ebay watch, and much language
spent on how to act here, and not here. Fact is Scott will not deal. He had his chance and
has not replied to me for three weeks. Your right ousting was not the idea
at first but!

I'd rather not see him and his snotty replies ever again here!!!!!!

Larry Urbanski wrote:
Jul 11, 2010 I will remove Scott from the Forum. He has proven himself unreliable, and we can't have members trading here and not completing the transaction. I guess Robert will never see the unit back, or the trade completed. Too bad it turned out this way.....

Here is the what and when....I tried to keep it short as possible.
That and I'm writing on a mobile device.

Most of this happened on film talk

August 2008
Scott private messages me interested in the long play.
We pm back and forth about trading cartoons.

August 19, 2008
I email pictures of the unit and case.

August 19, 2008
Scott wants to know how much it cost to ship DHL.
I bring it to my favorite shipping store and find its cheaper on Fedex.
I ask him to call me to go through the details because I'm emailing
from my phone.

August 19, 2008
He calls and we talk about the long play.
He tells me he will have to do some digging and separating
some cartoons from reels but listed a ton of stuff and it sounded good.
I tell him I have no large reels and have not used it and how I can
wait until he is happy with it to send me toons.
We talk about some Ib tech toons and other films to trade again
Including some features. He lists off a ton of (20 ish)cartoons again and
I told him to load a few reels up and send them as soon as he is
happy with the unit and if he's not happy with the unit I'll take it back.
He agrees to cover the shipping cost 52.27

August 27, 2008
Scott received the unit and sent a paypal for shipping

September 24, 2008
Sent a few private messages, no answer.
Scott responds to an email I sent the day before apologizing for not getting back to me
because of a massive storm that passed through Ohio. He mentions a video he made and
will send to me of the unit working. And how it worked great. Then tells me he has not yet
had time to go through the cartoons. "Bare with me" he writes.

January 30, 2009
I email him about the toons
He mentions some more toons, I respond with I like!

March 18, 2009
I responded to his forum post about settings on the long play asking about the cartoons.
He responded the he started last month going through the stash and something about listed the titles from cartoon database. He also mentioned working allot with no time during the week.

August 22, 2009
I put a poll up on the forum asking what I should do. The best paragraph of the response was...

"I thank Robert for the unit but for someone to call me on the phone and offer this to me because he has no use for it, why buy it in the first place? I have had many good deals from Larry Urbanski, buying super 8mm reels from him and through other members on this post. My thought, cluck, cluck, cluck!"

Of course there is much more to this. Just trying to keep it short.

June 15, 2010
Scott posts on the forum a complaint about how somebody is calling him a deadbeat
that can't afford to pay his bills.

June 16, 2010
I can't hold my tongue much longer.

June 16-21, 2010
Other forum members jump in and the site Admin gets involved.

June 22, 2010
the site admin give Scott a set time to respond and rectify the trade
or be removed

Feb 2010 - today

No response from Scott on the forums or my emails.

June-July 2010
Negotiation was attempted by a third party.
Scott responded that the unit did not work and he got rid of it
when prompted to send it back. Then stopped replying at all.

July 11, 2010
Scott booted from the forum the deal originated from.

April 1, 2014
I notice that Scott mentioned the long play on this forum and asked him
when are you going to make good on the trade.

April 4, 2014
Scott responds to anther members post that he never posted about this unit.

Thanks Rick!

I did not see your post before I was done writing mine.
It would have saved me a couple of words.
