I've got a GS-1200 available for sale. The projector is nice and clean but has a few problems -- Leon Norris currently has it and has told me it needs Amp repair (new circuit board), plus (less important) a new VU meter for one channel and new arm locks (they're sticky and not locking into place when open). To get all this fixed looks like about $450-$500...

If anyone wants the machine "as-is", I am offering it for $500. Then if you'd like, I can get you in touch with Leon and have him make the necessary repairs (you would be responsible for paying him). Or if you can do repairs yourself cheaper, I can just have him send it to you as it is.

Alternately, I can have pay to have it fixed and it will be made available for $1250. Or get it back broken and put it on ebay "as-is"...

I need to make a decision on this soon, so if anyone is interested, please get in touch with me ASAP.

If interested, email me at steven (at) 16mm-films (dot) net.

I hate to be the one to say it but projectors lately have been selling for less than films. I've bought 3 projectors lately in working condition for less than $200 each. Two of them handle both 8 and super 8 and are highly looked at machines in our market. Both I got for less than $200. If you are asking that much then you need Ebay to get it. Otherwise you have a parts machine for around $75.

Erik,
If you found GS-1200s for $200 in any condition then you got the bargain of the century...

Also In future, I would appreciate it if you would not post disparaging remarks on my "for sale" posts - it's bad form. If you don't like a price of something, you don't have to buy it, but it's not cool to post negative messages on someones "for sale" post - how would you like it if people did that to you?

In any case, the GS-1200 is currently on HOLD for a buyer who was happy to pay my asking price.

Erik, Steve is right. Even GS-1200s in not working condition are of great value. Even if a buyer was not going to repair it, just selling working parts would bring a huge profit on his investment. The GS-1200 is the God of all super 8 projectors. [set5_b/set5_b/angelsad2.gif]

It is not good forum etiquette to tell someone what their selling prince should, unless the seller requests help on pricing.
